For great shrink-fit protection, try 3M Heat Shrink Tubing FP-301. This general-purpose, thin-wall tubing has a 2:1 shrink ratio and a balance of electrical, physical and chemical properties. Constructed of pliable polyolefin, it works well in industrial and military applications and offers flame-retardant insulation for 600V-rated applications.

    The FP301 series of tubes are polyolefin based which means that they will melt when subject to temperatures between 130 -215 degrees celsius -of course there needs be some variation but thats an appropriate range-, where their diameter will decrease slightly so that they match whatever measurement was ideally desired.The end results is an insulated tube tightly wrapped around whatever application one wants insulated!
